DDoS attack

A few of my sites recently had some DDoS attacks... Now my hosting does not support good ddos protection. Can anyone suggest me a hosting that offers semi-dedicated or vps hosting with good ddos protection?

And also: if there are other ways to prevent ddos attacks rather then choosing the good hosting, please explain!

Ive never encountered them apart from the one time my forum got hacked shortly after.

Im afraid i cant help on this occasion but im sure someone will know , i know Iearn is up with the times in hacking.

Maybe drop him a PM to look at this thread and share his thoughts?

Have you contacted your hosting provider about the amount of the attacks, I mean how was it? did they handle some... ?

If your hosting is weak I'd recommend you to use blockdos.net I'm telling you mate it's the best DDOS protection you can find..

But let me understand something, some poeple mean by DDOS attacks, some attacks which made their website down and some mean their website was hacked so which one happened to you ?

over 100k incoming ip's on the server

Changing hosting server now... to a ddos protected... but besides that, anything I can do?

Well it's a flood then.. This means the server you were on is weak because 100k isn't that big attacks..

Actually you can't do anything, the hosting provider should protect his servers unless you have the access to manage the server you website's on!

I have a VPS.. pretty much access there, that enough? lol

Well, setting up on new hosting now, they say they are DDoS protected...
