Im afriad Asad i disagree with saying forget Dmoz, when you get listed in DMOZ its more than just one link , when they export their database its well over 200 links and all from respected well know sites.

The trick is to submit, forget and do the same again in 6 months if its not listed by then , if your section has a MOD then just a quick message asking them to view your site and ask for tips in why its not listed. Another thing to watch is how you submit your site, there are ways that DMOZ love you to submit, Like making sure your description is short but to the point, Never use anchor text to optimize your site only use your site name, there is loads more things you can do to make your site more attractive to a Dmoz Editor
