FORGET DMOZ

Yeah! Its true.

I have submitted one of my sites about 7 months ago. But, Not listed yet!!!
So, lets all forget Dmoz.

However, just submit it before your forget it

I have submitted over and over.
I have submitted to be an editor over and over and have actually got responses, but only to be told to try another section.

It is virtually impossible it seems to get included in the directory.

but i think all languages has his own editors, so i think it is more easy to get there in my language then english

you probably are correct about that. I bet being able to be an editor in a language other then English is a positive thing.

I sent too many sites too many times several times a year... without any reply or response. also i saw too many posts on forums, blogs and web master related sites telling Dmoz is corupted that i'm not going to spend more time nor effort looking for a submission there...asad is right. Forget Dmoz!...

Most of my sites are listed however i find it hard to get Webmaster related sites into DMOZ , its only the major webmaster sites and Directories that get into Dmoz unless like someone said its regional.

Im afriad Asad i disagree with saying forget Dmoz, when you get listed in DMOZ its more than just one link , when they export their database its well over 200 links and all from respected well know sites.

The trick is to submit, forget and do the same again in 6 months if its not listed by then , if your section has a MOD then just a quick message asking them to view your site and ask for tips in why its not listed. Another thing to watch is how you submit your site, there are ways that DMOZ love you to submit, Like making sure your description is short but to the point, Never use anchor text to optimize your site only use your site name, there is loads more things you can do to make your site more attractive to a Dmoz Editor
