Sitewide links

Is it better to try and get sitewide links rather than a link on one page ? I heard that google only counts something like 30 links from one domain is that true ?

Nope, not true. I have all my sites linking back to each other and one of them has over 2000 pages and about 500 of them are counted towards the others. Google never seems to give credit for all of them, and it changes every day.

yeah i agree with Gorkfu to some extent, google does give some credit for all sitewide links but i dont think it has as much value, i would say sitewide links have a big say in PR too.

Nowadays i belive that most of the cases sitewide links need to be omitted from my webmaster armour, since it does not have huge positive effect, and i would say that i regularly recognise ranking drop shortly a sitewide link come live, despite of the incoming PR.
