Are there too many Webmaster Forums?

Maybe I notice more than most, I dont know?
But there seems to be huge numbers of webmaster Forums.
Alot for sale at silly high prices, and people buying them!!!

Only a few survive(Qdoos amongst them!)

Totally agree midi, everywhere i look now days it seems there are webmaster forums popping up everywhere. Most of them are full of paid posters etc.

There is way to many and i think at the end of the day the only ones that will survive are the ones that spend the money to make them great. The others will always be there just for people to make a couple of posts for backlinks then never been seen again

Because all of the webmasters need relevant forums to increase their knowledge and to gain friends and help them to create a good site. I personally need webmaster forums because of my job.

Yeah! I think 'Webmasters' is the niche which has the highest number of forums.
I have just counted and found that I know more than 35 webmaster forums which are having at least PR3.

Simple facts: I have registered on more than 20-30 Webmaster forums. The only one (besides DP - Where I sell/buy stuff) I remain active is Qdoos.

What more do you want? :D

Yes, there are already many webmaster forums and new are also coming online.

But only few of them survive. There are many reasons for getting fail in this business.

    1. Not having good technical knowledge about forum software and hosting related.
    2. They just try to copy other webmaster forums and copy paste on their own forum to show their forum as busy.
    3. They don't moderate the forum nicely, or they behave with their members in harsh way.

There must be many other reasons but these 3 are most important which I always keep in mind when I go and maintain my own forum :)

And you should know midi. We must be at saturation, at least for webmasters who are willing to discuss and exchange throughts and ideas. How many of us here are members of 3, 4, 5 or more forums, and we probably all end up taking to each other over and over again.

There's a lot in what you say here, but have we reached the point of sharing the same information over and over again with the same group of members.

Like you I am a member of several forums and recognise a lot of members from the other forums.

There isn't enough webmaster forums, lol. Seriously there are tons of webmaster forums and new ones popping up daily but most of these people shut down in 3 months or less or lose interest. Not many of these forums make it past the 1 year mark but for those that do you will see them slowly creep up on the radar.
