A few of my sites recently had some DDoS attacks... Now my hosting does not support good ddos protection. Can anyone suggest me a hosting that offers semi-dedicated or vps hosting with good ddos protection?

    Thanks

And also: if there are other ways to prevent ddos attacks rather then choosing the good hosting, please explain!

Have you contacted your hosting provider about the amount of the attacks, I mean how was it? did they handle some... ?

If your hosting is weak I'd recommend you to use blockdos.net I'm telling you mate it's the best DDOS protection you can find..

But let me understand something, some poeple mean by DDOS attacks, some attacks which made their website down and some mean their website was hacked so which one happened to you ?

Well it's a flood then.. This means the server you were on is weak because 100k isn't that big attacks..

Actually you can't do anything, the hosting provider should protect his servers unless you have the access to manage the server you website's on!

Btw thx Riverwire for the rep :)

Ok, you can see now bux.to applied for blockdos.net services, so I recommend you again to apply for their services, because you won't regret for that!

I do not have the funds to pay over $3000 per month for a decent ddos protection...

Attacks keep coming in... Leaves me with 2 options. 1) Quit my sites and sell the content
    2) wait untill the attackers get bored (never i guess)

Upgrading to a dedciated server did not work for me neither

DDOS attacks doesn't depend if you're on a shared hosting, or a dedicated hosting, it depends on the server's protection.. Hope you sort out your problems, I know it's not cheap but it does worth that price, because they offer the best DDOS protection.
