how can you sell something online to make money in this down economy?

    How can a person sell something online, things people reallly need and because of gas prices, can get online cheaper than going to the store?

    Absolutely. When you add in traffic and the time it takes, the frustration one might encounter with crowds - you can make a fantastic case as an e-tailer for people to buy online.

    But don't sound so drab about the economy - you're reading too much mediatalk. People are making what you might call "unnecessary purchases" everyday by the billions. There is no 'down economy'. There are just people who haven't figured out how to increase their revenues.

    Bill gates used to be the richest man with 32 billion - now he's the 3rd richest man even though he's worth 58 Billion today. That says a lot about his ability to increase revenues year to year. It also says more people are buying more products.

    Cut out the news and look to the people/companies who are doing well online. Take what benefits you, leave the rest and set up shop.

    Shipping stuff bought online still feels the bite of high gas prices. Have you looked into eBay? It's an auction site where anyone can sell just about anything legal.
