What is the difference between yahoo mail and gmail?

What does google offer with gmail that yahoo doesn't offer with it's email. I already have email with aol, sbc, and yahoo, so I don't need another email account unless there are features that make it worth my time.

As a practical matter, there is no difference. Google organizes incoming and outgoing messages differently, in a way that makes it easier to follow a protracted exchange of e-mails with another person; other than that, there's no real difference.

I have both, and still seem to use Yahoo more because it's one login for mail, answers, calendar, addressbook, groups, maps and so forth.

So what does Google have going for it?

    1) Double the storage space for free accounts.

    2) NO annoying animated Flash advertisements.

    3) FREE access to their POP3 servers, if you want to download your mail and read it in Outlook, Eudora, The Bat, or some other email software. With Yahoo if you want to do that you have to pay their annual fee.

Come to think of it, I really should be using my GMail account more often ;)
