What is the difference of HTML with XHTML?

    Anyone know what is the difference of HTML with XHTML?
    which is easier to use? and easiest to learn :)

    XHTML is generally the newer version of HTML. There's a few small differences, such as closing single tags (in HTML it's <img></img> but in XHTML it's <img />), but most things remain the same.

    HTML code can be copied easily by just using "view source" featre right??
    How about XHTML, can we copy XHTML code easily like HTML code?

    Yes, they're basically the same. This forum uses XHTML, you can view the source of it as well.

    What you can't copy is server side code, such as PHP, ASP, etc.

    PHP, ASP Are A Dinamic Languages Based On A SQL Database! You Can Get The Website Yes But In HTML.. Or Use An Aspirator To Get The Whole Website!

    You don't necessarily have to base a PHP/ASP website off an SQL database, or a database at all.

    You can even think of that, PHP scripts all of them require a database to run on.. So basically you should have one.

    Well yes, my point was that you don't absolutely have to have a database in order to execute basic PHP code.

    difference between html and xhtml is:

    * XHTML elements must be properly nested
    * XHTML elements must always be closed
    * XHTML elements must be in lowercase
    * XHTML documents must have one root element

    I know it gives you a run for your money when you try and validate your site as you get lots of errors and poor explanations on what is wrong.

    So this is a great spot to see the actual difference. Aside from some coding does make the code easier for bots? and benefits to it?

    1. Its not my fault. I post my thread for one time but when its not appear then i go for second and after sometime both appears. there is no option for edit or delete.
