What is the fair price for SQL license?

    lately, My company bought SQL license for servers in my company.
    they bought it for around $100 each license. It is expensive or cheap for you?

    Actually There Is Type Of SQL License, You Need To Be More Specified To Know The Fair Prices.
    There Is Some SQL Licenses Cost About $15,000 to $25,000 !

    100$ per server seems low .... But it depends a lot on what database you are using and wath type of licensing you have.

    With Oracle a per user license wile cost you a couple hundreds per users while a per CPU licence will cost over 10 000$

    You have also a wide range of open-source databases that won't cost you a thing : MySqL, PostgreSQL...

    I am not sure about it but i think SQL Server 2005 Single Client Access User License buy cheap at a discount ... Retail Price $38.95.
