Is it time to pay teachers based on their performance?

Most of them wouldn't get a check or would owe the school money.
  2. In my experience as a student, educator, speech-language pathologist and language classroom facilitator I have many peers in many states and would have to say that this would apply to a remarkable few. It is unfortunate that your experience with teachers and the education system has been so abysmal, which I can only assume would prompt this type of statement. Perormance pay would be much appreciated by most teachers I know who put in their eight hours and several more at home, in meetings and in the myriad tasks that school districts expect them to perform outside of classroom duties. You as a taxpayer are getting a phenomenal deal and what a shame that you remain so blissfully unaware of that fact.
